Who we are
Stirrup is a private horse marketplace built on trusted connections, operated by Felipe Fernandez Jimenez, doing business as Stirrup, 535 W 23rd St, Apt S4C, New York, NY 10011, United States. "We" means Stirrup. This policy covers stirrupapp.com, the Stirrup WhatsApp number and our emails.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, phone number, location, bio and password (stored hashed).
- WhatsApp messages: the messages, voice notes, photos and videos you send to the Stirrup number, and the replies we send.
- Listings: horse details, prices, terms, photos, videos and owner contact details you add.
- Network activity: your connections, invitations, listings you send or receive, client links and inquiries.
- Technical data: sign-in sessions, IP address, browser type and error reports.
How we use it
- To run your account, draft and publish your listings, and share them with the people you choose.
- To read your WhatsApp messages and voice notes and turn them into listings. Software does this automatically.
- To send you messages about your listings, inquiries, connections and account.
- To keep Stirrup secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see what
You decide who sees each listing: only you, your network, a client through a client link, or the public. Owner contact details are never shown on public, network or client pages. Trainers you connect with see your name, contact details and the listings you share with them.
Service providers
We use these companies to run Stirrup. Each one processes data only to provide its service to us.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): sends and receives WhatsApp messages.
- Anthropic: reads the text of your messages to draft listings.
- OpenAI: transcribes voice notes.
- Hetzner: hosts the app, the database and stored photos and videos.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Sentry: records errors so we can fix them.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, listings and messages within 30 days, except what we must keep by law. Backups roll off on their normal schedule.
Your choices
- See and edit your details on your profile.
- Stop WhatsApp messages by sending STOP to the Stirrup number. Send START to turn them back on.
- Ask for a copy of your data or delete your account: see data deletion.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed. Sign-in links work once and expire after 15 minutes.
Children
Stirrup is for professional trainers. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above and tell active trainers by email or WhatsApp when the change matters.
